また暖かい日 Another warm day

またまた暖かい日。気温は16°まで上昇した。働かなくっちゃ。写真のようなアメリカサイカチの枝を数本切った。この木は去年も切ったのだが、切り痕があまり美しくない所に気づいていた。

Another warm day, the temp went up to 16C. Time to work. I pruned several branches like the ones shown below of honey locust trees. I cut these trees last year, but I noticed several cutting marks that were not beautiful.

温かいので、池に落ちていた枯れ葉を掃除して、一ヶ月位の間の蒸発を埋め合わせるために水を満たした。騒音のせいか、綺麗になった水が気に入ったのか、メダカが表面まで上がってきて漂っていた。
As it was so warm, I removed dead leaves dropped in the pond, and added water to compensate the evaporation since maybe a month ago. Because of the noise or they like purer water, killifish came to the surface and were drifting.

昨日まで福寿草は枯れたと思っていた。しかし、大丈夫だった、でも少し小さくなったようだ。
Until yesterday I thought my Amur adonis were dead. However, it was OK even though it got a little smaller.

地面に植えたチューリップもあちこちに葉を覗かしていた。ここは日陰なので、プランターに植えた物より成長が遅い。　　
I found tulips planted in the ground showed leaves here and there. The area is  shady, so they grow slower than the ones planted in the planters.

And, Hyacinth, too.

アンジェラの若芽も日に日に伸びている。
Young branches of Angela get larger every day.

室内ではエピデンドラムとデンドロビウムが満開だ。
In the room, epidendrum and dendrobium are in full bloom.

Became like it. それらしくなってきた

誕生日からもうすぐ一ヶ月。魚らしくなってきた。

この写真はフジX-E2と普通のズームレンズで撮影。入れ物から遠い場所からの撮影で薄暗い状態だったが、フジのEVFとフォーカス機能で結構上手く撮影出来た。

It's been about a month since their birth day. They grew and look like fish now. This picture was taken with Fuji X-E2 and regular zoom lens. Even though I had to take the picture far from the container in the dim light, I was able to focus fairly well owing to the EVF and focusing function of Fuji camera.

こちらはキャノンEOS Kiss X-2と90mm macroで撮影。マクロレンズなので近くまで因ることは出来た。しかし、薄暗い中ではフォーカスすることも難しく、これは５枚撮った中でもっともまともな物。
This picture was taken with Canon EOS Kiss X-2 and 90mm macro lens. With the macro lens I was able to get very close to the container. But, in the dim light it was hard to focus, and this was the best one of five pictures taken.

こういう写真を撮り続けるなら、やはり、Fuji用のマクロが欲しいかなぁ。
I guess I need a macro for my Fuji camera if I keep taking pictures like this.

Unknown sprout. 謎のもやし

私の赤ちゃんメダカが育っているガラスビンでもう一つの命が静かに育っている。
In the glass container where my baby killifish are bred, another life is quietly growing. 

それは植物、正体不明の植物だ。実はメダカが生まれたのを見つけところから気づいていた。育つのか見守っていたのだ、そしてそれは根を伸ばし続けていた。

It is a plant, unknown plant. Actually I noticed it when I found the first fish born. I was watching if it would grow, and it has been extending its root.

これは１月27日の写真。長い根を伸ばしているのが見える。

そして今日、双葉が出てきたのを見つけた。
And, today I found baby leaves came out.

これは大きい水槽の中で種を付けていたラッフルソードの子供ではないかと思っている。卵を産み付ける場所として、また稚魚のために水が新鮮になるようにコケとミクロソリウムの葉っぱを入れておいたのだ。多分コケと一緒に種が入ったのだと思う。

I am suspecting it is a baby Ruffled Sward plant that had borne seeds in the large tank. I removed willow moss and Microsorum leaves and put them in the glass container as places to lay eggs and to keep water fresh for the baby fish. I guess the seed came with probably the moss.

真実を知るには注意深く見守るしか無いね。

All I can to to find the fact is to keep my eyes on the plant.
