Be brave and survive in summer 夏を乗り切れ

私のセンペルの鉢は一年の間に一杯になってしまった。貰ってくれる友もいない。センペルは嫌いな日本の蒸し暑い夏を乗り越え無くてはならない。この鉢も夏の間は日陰に入れて水切りしなくてはならない。風通しを良くするために隙間が必要だ。ある程度抜いて露地に植えることにした。植えられるセンペルにとっては雨と日差しを耐えなくてはならないので辛いのはわかっている。しかし他に手はない。

My two sempervivum pots became full through one year.  There is no friends to take these home.  They have to survive hot and humid summer in Japan that they hate.  I have to put the pots in the shade without watering during summer.  They need some space to breathe between each of them.  I decided to remove some of them, and plant them on the ground.  I know it is harsh for the one on the ground to stay in rain and sunshine during summer, but there is no other way.  

この２枚の写真はある程度引っこ抜いた後の写真だ。まだ混雑しているが前よりはいい。

The two pictures are pots after I removed some semps.  Still crowded, but better than before.

引っこ抜いた奴はアガベの側に植えた。頑張ってねぇ〜。
The ones removed were planted near Agaves.  Good luck, guys.

センペル仔吹き? Sempervivum giving pups?

暖かくなったと思ったら，センペルからなにか出てきた。

While enjoying spring sunny days, I found something coming out of sempervivums.

子供かな?　花かも知れない，なんて思ったりして。

Are these pups?  I wonder this could be flowers.

これは間違いなく子株。上のとは少し出方が違う。
This is a pup definitely.  This is different from the ones above.

センペル紅葉 Semps turned red

2014.2.17

14日に降った雪のせいかもしれないが，センペルビブムの紅葉が進んでいる。

Maybe because of snowfall on 14th, my sempervivum turned red.

この鉢の物は，大分寒くなってから買ったので，買った時からかなり紅葉していた。しかし，これ程ではなかった。

These on this pot was bought after it was very cold, so they were somewhat red at that time.  But, not this much.

赤を通り越して紫だね
This is purple having past red.

これも。
This one, too.

これは，葉の端が赤くなってきていて，いい感じ。
These have tips turning red, and look nice.

これも端だけ。
This has similar color gradation.  

セダムとのコントラストがなかなかよろしい。
Nice contrast with yellow sedum.

これは小豆色です。
This is violet.

 百恵ちゃんも紫色かな。
Momoe is violet, too.
