５月に我が家のユーカリの木を1/3位残して切り倒した。若芽が出てくることを期待しながら。
I chopped a eucalyptus in May in one third expecting young branches would start growing.

今日、私の期待は真実となった。喜びながらも、毎年剪定しないといけないと憂鬱になりりつつ。
Today, I was surprised to find my expectation became reality. I was pleased while I was feeling gloomy that I had to prune them every year.

あんたはタフだよねぇ。
