今日の散財 Today's Squandering

北風は強い日だったが、日差しは暖かい日でした。また近所の園芸屋に少々散財に行きました。
Although north wind was still strong today, sunshine was warm. I went to a gardening shop nearby to squander some again.

初めの計画ではこれを買いに行ったのです。もうすぐ、蘭やバラの枝を選定しないといけないので、かかるまえにハサミを消毒するために数日前ネットで見つけたこの消毒剤を買いたかったのです。
In my original plan, I went there to buy this. As I will soon have to prune orchids or rose branches, I wanted to buy this disinfectant to disinfect scissors before work that I found in the net a few days ago.


でも、結局、消毒剤以外に、沢山他のものを持って帰ることに鳴ったのです。
But, after all besides the disinfectant, I found myself carrying back many other things with me.

キショウブ。池に何か綺麗な花が欲しかったのです。ホリホック(タチアオイ)。大きな花が好きだから。
Yellow water Iris. I have been wanting something with beautiful flowers in my pond. Hollyhock. I like big flowers, so.

アルセア(タチアオイ)。名前はどうあれ、ホリホックと同じものです。イワシャジン。これは育てるのが少し難しいかと思ったが、安い値段が背中を押した。
Alcea. Whatever the name is it is same as Hollyhock. Ademophora. This looked a little difficult to grow, but the low price encouraged me.

ニトベギク。先程も書いたように、大きな花が好きなのです。ボゴールパイン。一度、以前沖縄の那覇空港で見たことが有ります。その時は我慢したのですが、今日は・・・

Mexican Sunflower. As I wrote, I like big flowers. Bogor pineapple. I once saw this once at Okinawa Naha airport. At that time I held up buying one. But, today...

グラジオラスの球根6個(写真はありません)。３つは庭に植えて、残りの3つはカーポートの脇に植えようと思います。

Six gladiolus valves (no picture). Three will be planted at the main garden, and the other three next to the parking.

盆栽 Bonsai

2017.3.27

木瓜の花もそろそろ終わりなので、二鉢を一つの盆栽にまとめました。
As the flowers of flowering quince are almost over, I arranged the two pots into one to create a sort of Bonsai.

使った苗はこれら。左側の大桜華は真、祝錦は用に使いました。200円の価格表示が眩しい〜。

The young trees used are these. The left one is used for a main component, and the right one is for an assist. Price displays of 200 yen are so striking. lol

まだ若い気なので、本格的な剪定はしませんでした。数年くらいこのままで、どんな風に育つか見てみようかと思います。
I did not shape seriously as they are still young. I will leave as they are for several years and see how they will grow.

春よねぇ Yes, it is spring.

2017.3.5

今日はいい天気。季節はどんどん春らしくなる。ひと月前くらいに買ったボケの花がようやく咲き始めた。ボケを見ると「ボッケのぉはあなぁ〜」と植木等が歌っていたのを思い出す。

Fine day today. The season gets more and more springlike.

Pots of flowering quince bought about a month ago started to flower at last.

日陰のワビスケも咲き始め。
Camellia in the shade began flowering.

そいて、レンテンローズの季節です。
And, it is a season of Lenten roses.

これは新顔。うちの庭で咲くのは初めて。

This is a new face. Flowered for the first time in our garden.

松葉蘭がどこからともなく生えてきた。恐らく、何度も枯らしたものの子孫ではないかと思われる。
Whisk fern came out of nowhere. I believe this is descendants of one of what I let die several times here.

ツチグリ等 Earthstar and things

本日庭を歩いていて、ここには初めての物を見つけました。ツチグリです。変な形をしたキノコです。この寒い冬に? 可哀想なキノコ・・・
Walking in the garden today, I found something new to this place. An earthstar! A strange looking mushroom. In cold winter? Poor mushroom...

実際昨日は雪も降ったんです。Actually, it was snowing yesterday.

他の隅っこでは、レンテンローズが蕾を持ち上げ始めました。At the other corners, lenten roses started lifting up their flower buds.

これはうちでは一番新しいものの一つです。黒い花が咲くはずなのです。
This is one of the newest at our garden. It is expected to be a black flower.

プリムラも蕾をつけています。これは去年の暑い夏を耐えて、増えた株です。株は、元の３倍位に増えました。

Primula also having buds. This is one of plants that survived last hot summer and propagated themselves. The number grew to almost three times. 

これはその兄弟で一番に咲き始めた株です。
This is the sibling that started to flower at the earliest.

一昨日はヒヨドリが何か旨いものを見つけたようでした。
The day before yesterday, a bulbul fond something delicious.

一生懸命飲み込もうとしています。
Trying hard to swallow.

春の兆し Sign of spring.

2017.2.2
早いもので、もう２月です。もうすぐ春です。
春の兆しを見つけに東山植物園・動物園に行きました。
その目的は梅の花を見つけてすぐに達成されてしまいました。
Time goes so fast, it is February now. Soon Spring comes.
I went to Higashiyama botanical garden and zoo to find a sign of spring.
My purpose was soon accomplished by finding flowers of plum trees.

これは三椏です。和紙の原料。

This is a paper bush. Traditional Japanese paper is made from this.

猫柳の蕾も膨らんでいました。
 Pussy willow grew their buds.

椿も咲き始めていましたね。
Some camellia started to flower.

福寿草を一つ見つけました。 まだつぼみですが。
I found one pheasant's eye.  Still it was a bud.

温室の中は何時も春。
It is always spring in the green house.

いい時に行きました。これが本当に開くと、臭くてたまらないのです。
It was a good time. If this flower really opens, it would stink awfully.

続いて、動物園に移動しました。
池は何種類もの鳥に共有されいます。
Next, I moved to the zoo.
In the pond several kinds of birds shared water.

野生動物館やメダカ館に行くのにエスカレーターが使えるとは知りませんでした。歩いたら大変でしょうねぇ。
I did not know there is an escalator to visit wild animal house, and killifish house. It would be a hard work to walk this height.

オオコウモリです。
A big bat.

イモリ数種。
Several types of salamanders.

 帰り道で、この日まで女性専用車両が終日になったのは知りませんでした。おまけに、女性専用乗車口まです。驚き〜!!

On the way back, until this day I did not know that "women only cars" system is all day. And, moreover there is "women only entrance door". Amazing. 

この「乗車口」が何を意味するのかネットを探して、 このサイト を見つけました。そしてこれも。このシステムに反対しているグループがあるらしい。どうやら、このシステムは名古屋市議会議員の一人の発言から始まったらしい。トランプみたいな人はここにもいるなぁ。

To find what this "entrance" stuff mean, I searched internet and found this site. And this. There is a group of people that is against the system. It looks like this was started by one member of city council. Ah, here is another person like Trump.
